SwakopmundAs you journey toward Swakopmund, be sure to make a stop at Solitaire, a charming little settlement consisting of a service station, bakery, shop, and an overnight lodge. Their specialty is the most delicious traditional apple pie, a treat you simply can't miss. The drive to Swakopmund offers breathtaking scenery as you pass through the stunning Kuiseb Canyon and Gaob Pass, and traverse the otherworldly moon landscape on your way to Walvis Bay. Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled by the opportunity to spot pelicans and flamingos at the lagoon in Walvis Bay. Consider spending two nights in Swakopmund to fully immerse yourself in the town's charm or to partake in exhilarating desert activities.
