Hardap Dam Resort is modern and comfortable. It is a favourite weekend getaway for local Namibian citizens and boasts an array of water activities. Don't leave here without experiencing a boat ride on the dam!

You will find the resort next to the Hardap Dam and just outside Mariental, 260 km south of Windhoek. Indeed, it is the perfect stopover when heading to Windhoek or north Namibia.

At Hardap Dam Resort you can stay in clean and comfortable chalets. The rooms are feature modern furnishings and also refrigerators. Furthermore, dormitories and camping are available if you're on a budget.

The on-site restaurant has excellent views over the dam and delicious food.

Hardap is known to be an angler’s paradise. There are annual fishing competitions for enthusiasts. The Hardap also has a thriving freshwater fish institute that is supporting the country’s growing aquaculture industry.

The dam and surroundings also boast one of Namibia’s great white pelican breeding colonies. Additionally, guests can spot springbok, kudu, oryx and the cute rock hyrax nearby.

The Hardap Resort encompasses the Hardap Dam, which is Namibia’s largest dam. The Hardap Dam is on the Fish River, and the completion of the building was in 1960. The dam has a surface area of 25 hectares! Or 6177 acres.

Child Policy

Children between the ages of 6 and 12, sharing with full paying adults pays 50% of the quoted adult rate
No more than two children may share a room with their parents
Children in their own chalet will be charged the adult rate
Provision for children sharing with adults will be made upon arrival; however, the booking must be made in advance
Participation of children under the age of 6 in guided activities only at the discretion of the camp manager and at the risk of the parent/guardian
