There is a variety of private lodges outside Etosha Park. These are perfect for the traveller that is looking for day visits to the Etosha Park. The popularity of visitors to the park is growing yearly. Due to the rising numbers of visitors, a selection of private lodges has opened along the borders of the park. These lodges are privately owned and provide an additional selection of camping sites and accommodations.
The disadvantage of these private lodges is the fact that they are outside the park's borders. You can only enter the park from these lodges at certain gate opening times. The same applies to leave the park at certain gate closing times. However, these lodges come recommended and act as an alternative when visiting Etosha. A great deal of the Private lodges to have waterholes within their properties.
The rates are different between all these lodges and you can select them accordingly. A great deal of these private lodges has their own private game reserves. It is not as diverse as Etosha park itself, however still very good game viewing available. It has become very popular to visit the Etosha park and stay inside the park. You can treat yourself to a lodge evening outside the park before or after the visit.
