Park Regulations: Etosha National Park

1. In terms of Section 18, 19, 20, 83 & 84 of the Nature Conservation Ordinance, 1975: Ordinance 4 of 1975, as amended, no person shall:-

  • No off road driving
  • Follow speed limits and road signs ( 60km/h)
  • No Domestic animals allowed in the park
  • No Littering please
  • No Unsealed Firearms allowed
  • No disturbing animals ,nor assisting animals
  • Noise reduction is important to animals and other visitors
  • Make use of toilet stops in the park
  • No Open fires are allowed outside designated camps

Entering the Park

  • Report to reception and duty manager at the camp that you are visiting
  • All visitors to abide to park rules at all times
  • Only allowed to stay at allocated rest camps in the park
  • No Loud music or noise in and outside of the rest camps
  • Please take care of open windows
  • Animals are wild and will act instinctively
  • All permits should be with permit holder at all times when entering and leaving camps
  • Daily fees and camp fees are payable at the REST CAMPS , prior to departure
  • There are checkpoints at all gates entering the park
  • Ensure your payments are up to date before leaving etosha national park
  • No meat is to exit the park at andersson gate towards Okakuejo
  • Please be advised on the Disease control Check points when leaving the etosha park
  • No Noise at the watering holes and please consider other visitors

By following the rules and park regulations, all visitors are assisting in the conservation of our park, animals and the sustainability of our visitors. We ask you to please adhere to these regulations and help us make Etosha a sustainable wildlife sanctuary – for all to be enjoyed.
